WORK EXPERIENCE

Principled Co-Founder CTO startup (May 2017 - current)                                                                                 Principled is developing a series of modular solutions for wearable technology to directly address the needs of active older adults, one of the fastest growing demographics and one of the most underserved by both fashion and technology. We are passionate about redefining how wearable technology is used and who it is for, and in the process change how both technology and aging is perceived. Leveraging our extensive network of collaborators we are focusing on fully integrated, turn-key solutions that address posture, balance and arthritic pain.                Our approach leverages the best of:

  • Fashion design
  • Wearable technology
  • Universal design
  • New materials, including heating, cooling and impact protection
  • Cutting edge sensors & power management systems
  • Haptic language
  • Machine learning and user journeys

As well as our administrative duties we were given an office space to conduct our own research and projects with the support of the ITP facilities. My research consisted of research into learning about the development of a supply chain for new wearable tech integration. Also designed and produced two tech installations in Amsterdam (link: Meat Puppet Arcade) and New Orleans (link: Oracles) with colleges from my residency.

Human Condition Creative Technologist ( May 2016 - Oct 2016 )
